 About Us My passion is Lavender. The perfume and beauty of this captivationg herb still causes me to pause and enjoy the feelings of peace and amazement. We started planting Lavender at our Wandering River Farm in 2003, not sure if it would survive our harsh Alberta winters.A gentleman farmer I had met in Washington told me I just would never be able to grow Lavender up here. We have been testing different varietys, in all different areas. And so began our journey. Each year I wait in anticipation for Spring, and what our field brings. It has been defying all odds and successfully coming back each year. We opened our store, a 100 year old Heritage home in Cochrane Alberta in October of 2006. This spring a Lavender Tour Garden will be planted so everyone visiting us can enjoy a leisurley stroll and understand the magic of Lavender. |
